    Hello guys

I've run into a problem with the size on RDATA (value) on TXT records. In HSPc its set to 255 characters, however, one of my clients have a couple of TXT records with around 340 characters. If I understand RFC 1035 correctly the RDATA can be up to 64K.

I can understand that very few needs more then 255 characters as RDATA on any record, and a lot of types can not have more then 255 characters.

One option I have is to change the webpages and the database in order to handle this, but I'm afraid the next upgrade will set it back to 255 characters and break the zone for this client.

Btw, this is not SPF or anything else that I can split up, so using more then one TXT record is out of the question.

Anyone run into the same problem and have a solution to it?

Sorry for my lousy english :)

    TIA
    Robert
