Virtuozzo 7 - Install hangs at "Starting System Logging Service..."

    Hi,

    I'm trying to install Virtuozzo 7 on a Dell 430 via the iDRAC. Virtuozzo 6 installs with no issues. Everything in the Virtuozzo 7 install runs extremely slowly (many, many minutes) until it finally hangs at "Starting System Logging Service..." as per the attached image.

    Has anyone had any similar issues? Suggestions gratefully accepted.

    Hello,

    Sorry for a late reply, I've been on vacation.
    This is a new behavior for us, we haven't met anything similar yet.
    If you have a null-modem cable you can configure serial console logging - it might give you a hint as to what happens.
    If that doesn't help - please contact Technical Support for deeper investigation.

    Hi Pavel,

    It turned out that the problem was only when attempting to install from a particular PC. I used a different PC and had no issues. I have not been able to find out what causes the issue, I've used the same PC to install multiple 4.0, 4.7 and 6.0 servers.
