This may be a bit of a strange one, but for websites that do not use the default SPF record, for example websites using Google Apps. For some reason occasionally the default Plesk Automation SPF record is reactivated, and this can create serious problems with mail not being received by those sending from those websites. There doesn't seem to be any pattern, it just seems to happen rarely and with no predictability.

    Any advice/help would be appreciated,
    Thanks
    Aaron

    Hello,

The issue with SPF records was fixed in scope of #PPA-2503:

"Customers could not customize TXT records in domain DNS zones. Disabled TXT records became active again after the IP address of their webspaces was changed."

The fix is included in Plesk Automation 11.5 update #23: https://kb.odin.com/en/128625

Hi thanks for the reply, our system is running at update #22, tried to update to #23 however got this error message:

    Code:
PPA daily maintenance script is running now.

PPA upgrade should not be started when the daily maintenance script is running.
Please wait for the daily maintenance script to finish execution and restart the upgrade.

To check if the daily maintenance is running:
    1) Check if there is a 'Run daily maintenance script' task in PPA task manager.
    2) Check if there are processes related to the daily maintenance with the following command on (run on the management node):ps ax | grep DailyMaintainance | grep -v grep

Running grep on the process list does indeed show that it is running

    Code:
    27113 ? S 0:00 /usr/bin/sw-engine -c /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/php.ini /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/DailyMaintainance/script.php
    28125 ? S 2:37 /usr/bin/sw-engine -c /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/php.ini /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/DailyMaintainance/task-script.php UpdateApsApplications --period=daily --fetch-updates

As yet I haven't found a way to address this and the script doe still seem to be running after some time, any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Aaron

    Hello Aaron,

You need to make sure that task "Run the daily maintenance script" is not running at the moment of update installation. (Hosting Provider CP > Operations > Tasks).
If it's running - you will need to wait for it's completion.

After that you will be able to install the update. If you some kind of assistance - please submit ticket at http://www.odin.com/support/

    Hi thanks for the reply

It seems that the Daily Maintenance Script has been failing with the following:

    Code:
Request has been timed out, details:
    system exception, ID 'IDL:omg.org/CORBA/TIMEOUT:1.0'
TAO exception, minor code = 3e (timeout during recv; low 7 bits of errno: 62 Timer expired), completed = MAYBE
