Secure Password Authentication doesn't work?

    Hi:

    PLESK 6, RH 9 -

    I have PLESK mail set to require authorization, but Outlook doesn't work when the 'Log on using Secure Password Authentication' is checked.

    It does work if the box is unchecked.

    Any ideas?

    Yeah, dont use that its a microsoft-only type method. You just want to check "My server requires authentication" and then have it use the same login/pass as pop/imap

    Cool, thanks! I also found out that some ISP's require you to use their outgoing SMTP mailserver (like Cox).

    Oh yeah, I got hit with that here. Fortunately if you use SSL you can get around that.

    Interesting...SSL on the main domain will cover webmail?

    This is SSL SMTP (port 465), so its not related to the webserver really.
