When using a remote MSSQL server, the Webadmin link fails to load in a redirect loop.

Is there any way to change this link or disable it?

    Hi Jonathan,

Unfortunately, PPA doesn't support Webadmin for MSSQL yet, because management node is running on Linux server and we already have the feature request in our backlog and we are going to implement a special service node role to setup Webadmin on separate Windows node. Thanks!

And we will disable a link in up-coming update.

    Thank you.

Has an option to customise the link been considered? Perhaps with the option to pass the db user details to a silent log in like mylittleadmin?

For the time being I've added a custom button to our panel.

So if webadmin is not used for MSSQL admin, what is?

How can my users with MSSQL admin their databases. Currently they seem to have no method to view, create tables, manage or backup the actual database.

There are lots of tools and UI clients to manage MSSQL databases. You are able to use the same webadmin which can connect and work w/ remote MSSQL database. It's a not problem. Thanks!

But what can our customers use within the CP interface, i.e we are looking for an equivalent to myPHPAdmin for the MSSQL system.

I think I know possibly one of the issues. I've come across this KB article

    http://kb.parallels.com/en/115810

In it mentions two dlls and an exe.

We appear to have the dlls, but the exe is missing.

Do we still need the exe websrvmng.exe?

Actually I missed the file the first time. It is included, in fact it has been recently added. So this appears not to be the case

    Hi ChristianCr,

Would be better if you tell me what problem you are going to solve. First of all, the KB article you mentioned is created for Plesk standalone, and not applicable for PPA. The second, the screens "Tools" -> Server Components UI screen is not available in PPA at all. Let's describe the problem you want to solve.

I need an equivalent to phpMyAdmin for MSSQL on the Windows Plesk Panel node, that works in a PPA/PBA-S environment.

My users will be very low on tech savviness, so they need a simple in system management console. And to be honest we need something cheap, as $80 a month, for myLittleAdmin, is right out of the budget at the moment.

    HI, ChristianCr,

This is a short instruction how to add a link to Webadmin for MSSQL in PPA CP:

    1. Create IIS based webspace with enabled ASP.NET support
    2. Download zip package from http://mylittleadmin.com/en/download.aspx (there is free lite version)
    3. Upload package into /httpdocs of webspace and unpack zip archive to directory 'mssqladmin'. Once MyLittleAdmin is accessible via http://<webspace_name>/mssqladmin
    4. Configure MSSQL connectivity parameters described in 'Installation Guide.pdf'
    5. Finally, you can create a custom button in PPA CP. Just run the following command: /usr/local/psa/bin/custombutton -c -place domain -text 'MSSQL ADMIN' -url 'http://<webspace_name>/mssqladmin' After the button named 'MSSQL ADMIN' will show on 'Websites & Domains' page in Hosting Panel and link will be pointed to http://<webspace_name>/mssqladmin

Okay this did it for me.

I've actually implement ASP.NET Enterprise Manager as it allows the user to edit as well as view. myLittleAdmin lite only allows viewing.

Remember the button will appear not next to the domain as a "Web Admin" link. The button looks like a keyboard button. The Users will, most likely, need instructions on what to put in as the server address.

We've upgraded to 11.5 and this appears to have broken the link. I see there is an included link to the webadmin. Again this points at the PPA node, which doesn't work for MSSQL. Is this fixed yet? What is the timeline for for this to be implemented?

I'd really like to see a properly integrated fully functional web admin tool for MS SQL, similar to PHPMyAdmin for MySQL. I do not like adding files here, tweaking there, only to have things break during upgrades. This should be natively provided and supported within PPA.
