    Hi everyone,

I'd like to inform you, we've just published a new version of PPA installer and here is a list of known issues that we covered and fixed:

    1) Unable to install PPA if server hostname is not defined in the system
    2) Unable to install PPA if server hostname points to loopback interface
    3) Unable to install PPA if system locale is not "en_US.ut8"
    4) PPA installer should check if the following packages "wget", "setools", "which", "curl" are installed, as it relies on them
    5) Using IP address for db host to avoid problems with hostname
    6) Improved logging when system errors are occurred during installation

New PPA installer is here and you can try! Thanks to all for feedback!

    Best Regards,
    Andrey

The release date is scheduled on Oct 15. Above message is about improvements in PPA installer on basis of feedback that we've got and collected through forum and email during PPA Public Preview. It allows to avoid these problems in the future. Thanks!

    Best Regards,
    Andrey

    Hi,

If you already installed PPA, no sense to run installer again. We've patched installation script and handle special cases to prevent fail of PPA installation. But if you want to install PPA to clean node again, better to use new installer.

    Best Regards,
    Andrey

    Hi MarinH,

You need to get a regular Plesk unlimited license key for each dedicated web or mail server that you attach to PPA. Main license key is free.

    Best Regards,
    Andrey

    Ok, thanks for your reply.

So each noddes needs an unlimited license (for plesk 11) except for the main server which hosts the panel.

    And, will limited licenses work?

And is it for every node or just web and mail?

Sorry, I found my answer in the system ;) The system requires a Main License and a number of Parallels Plesk Premium licenses assigned to the Management Node and each Web or Mail node. Dedicated database or name server nodes do not require licenses. Use this page to upload the main Parallels Plesk Automation license. Use the Additional Licenses tab to upload Parallels Plesk Premium licenses and assign them to the nodes. The Additional Licenses may also include extra Web Presence Builder sites and Antivirus for mail nodes.
