I have an HDD image that I want to move to a different drive. The drive it's on is being repurposed.

How do I do this? Is it as easy as:

    - shut down VM
    - move disk file
    - edit config for VM, pointing to moved HDD file
    - restart VM

    Is this correct?

    Move .hdd

I recently moved a .hdd file in the following fashion.

    - shut down VM
    - move disk file
    - edit config for VM, pointing to moved HDD file
    - restart VM

The drives seem to function in the VM, however,

In the Management Console The HD now reads as 0GB and says Invalid Drive upon inspection.

a second drive connected to the VM that was not moved at all also now reads 0GB and says Invalid Drive.

Do I have to remap these drives in some way?

    .hdd move

I recently moved a .hdd file and tried to reconnect it to a VM in the following order.

    - shut down VM
    - move disk file
    - edit config for VM, pointing to moved HDD file
    - restart VM

Upon restart The HD moved as well as a second HD that was not touched at all

went to 0GB and now say invalid drive upon inspection.

The drives seem to work fine in the VM itself but I would like to correct this error.
