    Good day, everyone:

On http://forum.parallels.com/showpost.php?p=617553&postcount=6 -- http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=257653 is the thread in context -- it was shared that if a hosting customer wants to move form a shared IP address to a dedicated IP address, the customer has to switch hosting plans.

In what other areas does a customer have to switch hosting plans in multi-server plesk?

If the customer wants to have more disk space, do they have to switch hosting plans?

If the customer wants more email resources, do they have to switch hosting plans?

If the customer needs more bandwidth, do they need to switch hosting plans?

If the customer needs more mysql databases, do they have to switch hosting plans?

If the customer wants to add more domain names, do they have to switch hosting plans?

If a customer needs / desires to make ___________ changes, what is the complete list of _________ that would require them to switch hosting plans?

    NOTE:

In H-Sphere absolutely none of the above require a plan change which makes it extremely convenient and easy for the paying customer to remain happy (hassle, more steps, taking up more of their time makes unhappy customers).

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Customer & Business Manager as a billing solution for PPA provides two objects to set up and differentiate the offering: service plans and add-ons.
Service plan defines the basic offering (type of IP, amount of disk space, domains, traffic and so on). When you create a number of service plans, probably you prepare the options for different market segments - private site owners, popular bloggers, small companies.
Add-on is a way to add an additional resource to the service plan subscription but leave others as they are (and also to pay additionally only for this resource). Add-on can provide additional 5 Gb of disk space, exclusive IP or one more domain.

To set up flexible offering, create 2 or 3 service plans for different market segments and create a number of add-ons for each plan to allow customers to adjust resources according to their needs.
When customer subscribes to your service, he will be suggeted to select plan and optionally buy some add-ons. Later he will be able to order more add-ons but stay within the same plan.
Customer can later change service plan and move to completely another level of service you offer. There he will receive another amount of "default" resources and will get access to another add-ons.

    Good day:

Per http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=257653 can Multi-Server Panel have a form a customer must fill out to justify adding on an exclusive (aka dedicated) IP Address to their plan? And then an administrator would have to approve or deny the request?

    Thank you.

Right now this is impossible in CBM and I think it's also impossible in other Parallels billing solutions.
I will create a feature request for CBM development team for this but I can't provide a ETA.
