    Hello,

I have a question about replacement of chunk server harddisk

After successful rm-cs and replaced with new harddisk

    Then using following
    '/usr/libexec/pstorage/prepare_pstorage_drive /dev/sdc'
    to format the harddisk

    Now I have question.

    1. How to join the new disk to existing Cluster?

    2. Those existing disk also have UUID marked at fstab. How to generate it?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

After formatting disk UUID should already exist.
You could figure out it using blkid command:

    # blkid /dev/sdb1
    /dev/sdb1: UUID="f37b3e3f-5431-4563-908f-2fa1787c76ea" TYPE="ext4"

And to add CS to the existing cluster pstorage make-cs command should be used.

    Best regards,

    Hello,

Thanks. But what exactly "pstorage make-cs" command I should use?

Because if using -r it will get following error
    ---
    > pstorage -c pcsnode make-cs -r /pstorage/pcsnode-cs
14-08-15 08:41:31.711 Directory /pstorage/pcsnode-cs exists and not empty.
    ---
    Thanks!

    Hello,

"make-cs" requires path to an empty or non-existing directory supplied for "-r".
Once you create new partition it will always have "lost+found" directory, special service directory for lost files (e.g lost due to fs corruption/recovery).
Either remove this directory first, or point -r to a subdirectory on that mount point, e.g. "/pstorage/pcsnode-cs/data".
If 'data" directory does not exist it will create it.
