    Hey there,
    I'm trying to get Elasticsearch 5 running within Centos 7 CT on PCS6.
    Getting this Error:

    According to Elasticsearch Manual one should rise vm.max_map_count --> but unfortunately I'm getting this Error when doing within CT:

    Any ideas on that?

    Thank you, bye from Austria

    Hello,

    Some sysctls can be set within a container because it is emulated. Some sysctl'a do not have specific support - max_map_count is among them. Its value will be equal to the node's. If you need to increase this value you can do it on a node side:
    Code:
    [root@pcs-3rdline-7 ~]# sysctl -a | grep max_map
    vm.max_map_count = 65530
    [root@pcs-3rdline-7 ~]# vzctl exec 1112 sysctl -a | grep max_map
    vm.max_map_count = 65530
    [root@pcs-3rdline-7 ~]# echo 165535 > /proc/sys/vm/max_map_count
    [root@pcs-3rdline-7 ~]# sysctl -a | grep max_map
    vm.max_map_count = 165535
    [root@pcs-3rdline-7 ~]# vzctl exec 1112 sysctl -a | grep max_map
    vm.max_map_count = 165535
    [root@pcs-3rdline-7 ~]#

    Do you know if this is possible per CT in VZ7?
