I'm trying to import a 28.5 mb mysqldump of a vbulletin forum and I'm not having any luck.

plesk will allow me to re-install vbulletin from scratch, but there's over 3000 posts that I'll lose, and I'm not interested in doing that.

Any help would be more than appreciated.

Just as an fyi, I typically know how to import a mysql database on a souce install I've done previously.

I tried via command line (my normal method) and via phpmyadmin, please let me know because I want to get it resolved so that I can truly begin to enjoy psa 2.0 for what it is :)

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the priveleges that plesk assigns a user by default. If I had the root password for mysql that get's assigned, I could fix everything myself :)

    Ok, that was my bad
admin is the main username, but I still can't import the database.

I'll post what I've tried to do that typically works in the past

    bash-2.05$ /usr/local/psa/mysql/bin/mysql -u admin -p databasename << dbname9-24-01.txt
    > Enter password:

    I enter the password
it doesn't report errors and the import doesn't show
