Wanted to know if its possible to create a new container and install it with a EZ template, but without the fact that it maintains any links to the template.
Is there anyway to configure this?

Having lots of issues with older (Debian 4/5) containers with migrating to newer servers. At the moment i'm copying the mounted root to the private fs, so it loses all links to the template and the files are owned by the container itself.

    Thanks for your reaction.

    Hi,

the way you are processing it is the only way.

What kind of problems are you facing when migrating a container?
Do both Nodes run the same Version of VZ?

They do, but most of the older containers are first migrated from an 4.6 machine. The problem is that some files are missing after the migration has been completed.
Migration is succesfull, but missing links cause default services like apache to stop working.

    Hi,

have you tried to follow the following KB entry step by step?
    http://kb.parallels.com/en/113129

Are you sure the template Area is identical on both nodes?

    Regards,
    Kristian
